Hot Backups ... What are the files ?

 We have hot backups running and they are producing a 43 Gig file P5KO8V2O_1_1 at 9:57 , a 4 Gig P3KO8USK_1_1 at 9:38 and a 4 Gig file at P4KO8UVC_1_1 at 9:40.  Can anyone explain what these files may be for ? Why three files ? Why 1 large and multiple small files ? Etc.
