Datatype change

There is huge table of 120 GB which is partitioned, would like to change the column datatype like below, what would be the best approach.Table has primary key.

          NEW                                           OLD

           Varchar2(9)                               Number(9)

           Number(4)                                 Number(7)

            Number(3)                                 Number(7)
