10.2.0.4 Schema to 10.2.0.2 Installation

 I have a 10.2.0.4 installation on Solaris with schemas that I would like to move to a 10.2.0.2 installation on AIX. I'm planning on doing an exp/imp of the data using those utilities, but I'm aware that there may exist multiple compatibility issues (OS and Oracle version) that may arise when I do this. Has anyone experienced any backward compatibility and OS compatitility issues with doing this? Can anyone recommend other utilities to use for this effort?
