R12 - FA Security by Book

 I am looking for feedback on setting up Security by Book, we have upgraded from 11.5.10 to R12 and did not use Security by Book in 11.5.10. I am implementing FA for another entity and would like to secure their data from the existing entity that is already using FA.

I have heard that the R12 architecture of  the security by book has some performance issues.

I would appreciate any information and assistance you can provide.
