As I have done during test runs, creating a physical standby requires me to copy the backup of the primary database over to the standby database server. The size of backup is now around 700GB. I will need 700GB disk on both servers. What are the alternate options? I know that grid control can do a file by file copy requiring only enough space to hold the largest data file but that process is not documented anywhere. The primary is a two node RAC database, standby
