MS Project Work & Workplan ETC Effort
Hello Everyone,
For those customers using MSP integration for structures NOT fully shared...
Even though the documentation says that the MSP field "Remaining Work" is sent to the workplan field "ETC Effort" that is not the case (development has confirmed). The MSP Column "Work" is what feeds the workplan ETC effort field.
When a task is statused at 100% and an actual finish date, the value in the work column remains as a positive value. This value is sent to the workplan, and then a Forecast Plan Type is used to generate the Projects EAC. Because the task is 100%, there should be no more ETC values, yet because of the way the fields are mapped, this is leading to unnecessary ETC growth on our projects.
