Un-install / Re-install and Password Resets

 My user community has a hard time with password resets.  (Our pw must be set to expire every 90 days.) As soon as they see the  "Password Change" screen in MFS, they try to enter data there, rather than go to the Enterprise (CRM) to change their pw first.  This is in spite of reminders to follow their user guide. 

Ultimately, their pw gets out of sync and they have to un-install and re-install.  Is there any other way?

It seems the remedy for so many issues (account corruption, incomplete install, null pointer) is un-install and re-install.  Is this how it is supposed to be?  Any advice?
