Control Center for OWB is extremely slow

 Please tell me I am doing this wrong!
We have Oracle Warehouse Builder 10.2.0.4 - deploying 40 some objects takes 6 bloody hours! 

There has got to be an easier way to do this. All these gui based installers and management systems - what was oracle thinking? I know I can do silent install with runInstallers but appears there are no alternatives for workflow and control center.

We have warehouse builder running on linux and we have owb client installed on laptop. We are using the local client to do the deploys to remote database server.

We've tried running owbclient.sh from server but thats even slower. I want text based installers! Enough of the gui's.
