Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Migrating/updating databases between platforms

We're about to start a test run of migrating our 9i windows DB to Linux 10G[the EBS is at 11.5.10.2 not being upgraded]

I have the doc 230627.1 for migrating between platforms, but on the 2nd page it states that both the source and target databases must be 9i DB's.

Is this true? i was hoping to clone the source onto a staging area [windows], upgrade to 10G and then export/data pump to linux...
