Journal Entry for Re-instate asset in GL

Good Morning

Hi all i reinstate and asset that was retired from the previous month and then retire it in this month. However, when i view the retirement journal in the GL the line is Zero, when I drilll down I saw the asset that was reinstated and retire along with the entries.

Why is it that the entries are not reflected in the journal it self? is it because the system is debiting and crediting the same account as a result it shows that journal line as zero.

Please advice i need to know if this is a bug, it seems strange to me. And i am worried to.
