ASM - Stripe Size for Underlying RAID volumes

Hi,

We are configuring a 2 node 10g RAC database on Linux X64

We have read that for ASM, for optimal performance, the underlying RAID volumes (we will be using external redundancy) should be configured with a stripe size of 1MB because ASM allocates chunks in 1 MB size

The problem is that our raid array (we are using HP-MSA2000) is only capable of configuring a stripe size of
16K,32K and 64K. We would like to know what this would mean in terms of performance for the underlying +DATA
and +FRA volumes?

Thanks
