GL period opened in error
On 11.5.10.2, user accidentally opened period twice and now has month of November open whereas usually this is in a status of future - entry.
I understand from the user guide that:
-future - entry allows GL entries, but no GL posting.
-open allows GL entries and GL posting
-close does not allow GL entries nor GL posting
User would like to close November to avoid accidental entry/posting in this period. There are occassional future dated entries in the sub-ledger. Would a closed GL period prevent a future dated entry from being created in the subledger?
Are there any tricks to moving the period of November back to Future - Entry (assuming no journal activity has yet occurred)?
