upgrading aix from 5.2L to 5.3L

i recently received a message from the AIX system admin - who wishes to upgrade the O/S from 5.2 to 5.3 ...

Does Oracle dynamically update any files in /usr, /var, /tmp, /home, or /opt while the database(s) are up and running?

 

The type of AIX upgrade that I’m going to do makes a copy of the root volume group, which contains the filesystems above, and then updates that copy to 5.3.  So, if I start the upgrade on Friday, nothing in the filesystems above will be touched on the 5.3 copy until after I reboot on the 5.3 copy.  If Oracle does NOT update any files in those filesystems, there’s no problem.
