Do SYS passwords on primary and standby databases have to be identical?

 Hi,

I understand that the password file on the primary must be copied to the standby for the redo transport mechanism to work.  But, is it required the same SYS password to be used across the board? In other words, can the primary SYS password be different form the standby SYS password?
