RMAN Backup Times
OS: OEL5u2 (64bit)
DB: 10.2.0.4
Standard Edition
Backup: EM-submitted RMAN job(s), using Control File not RC
Is there any documentation for investigating RMAN backups when they are taking longer than usual to complete? My daily backups run usually in an hour or two, but the last two have still been running when I get into the office (8+ hours). I wound up canceling yesterday's job and resubmitting a new one but the problem is apparently still present.
I've done some Google'ing and looking through MOS notes, but the keyword "long" just keeps pointing me to long term backup solutions. I'd like to know if the jobs are still running, or hung, or if the problem is with RMAN or the underlying disks, etc.
