sid alias

  Hello,

We plan to change sid name for one of our databases.  There are many applications using
it (java apps connectiong directly not using tnsnames) so i'm wondering if there is a way to create an
alias (listener ?) after we change the sid name so they can access database using old sid name ?
In another words, is there a way to configure listener so it would accept connections for new and old sid name
for database registered with new sid name?
Maybe you know of better way of doing this ?
