"Required to Ship" flag in Bill of Materials

 Hi All,

I would like to know the implication of "Required to Ship" flag in Bill of Material Setup.

I have couple of pointer which explains the flag but does not clearly explains why the flag is certainly required,

1) Indicates whether the component is required to ship the order. - The conflict here is even if the flag is unchecked we will be able to ship the order in case of PTO item. 2) You can only update this check box if the Assemble to Order item attribute for the assembly item in the Define Item window is disabled. This attribute only affects PTO included items (not ATO items or configurations) 3) This information prints on Pick slip report (which i read in some blog) -- I had test a order and took out the pick slip report (standard) but even there
