Antivirus on Database Servers

  Hi,

Can anyone please shed some light on as to what is Oracle's stand / recommendation on having anti virus installed on production database servers (either Windows or Linux)

Our IT department is bent on installing McAfee anti virus on the database server and we, the DBA are not so excited about it and hence would like to know what Oracle recommendation is when it comes to installing Anti Virus on Linux and Windows database servers?
