Agile service is not starting up automatically on Win 2008

I did a fresh standard stand alone installation of Agile 9.3 on a Win 2008 server.  The agile service is not starting up automatically. It looks like the beasvc shut the service down when it's starting up. If I start it manually it does start up, although it does take a while before agile is actually running. Any idea why this happens?
