Oracle and Dual Core CPU

Hi All,

We have two dual core cpu's, but a simple bat programs seem to peg the cpu to 98% to 100%. The program has been validated and doesn't seem to be having any expensive sqls.

My question is does oracle realy makes use of the dual cores for processing or it just considers them as 2 cpus only?
