application backup testing

Hi,

i have oracle application server 12R i have backups of application server and database server

i want to test the backups by prepare a new  2 new server .

i take whole PROD directory backup so can i just copy this backup to newserver will the application and database will start or any other things i have to do

Pleas advice.
