I'm running windos 2003 64 bit, Oracle 10.2.0.3

I'm new, have not worked on Oracle in the past, had a 2 week crash course before the DBA left,  now I'm in charge with little knowlege.   But I think I can figure it out with some help

There is a cold backup in place -  using a series of DOS batch files to copy
this like archive logs, table spaces,  registry entry (windows OS).

It was identified right before DBA left the Control file was never backed up.  I know it's Critical
I can create a new batch script to copy that as part of the "master" batch script that currently
