Oracle 10g RAC setup on Sun SPARC 10

 Hi All, I am using Sun SPARC 10 for 2 node Oracle RAC creation with ASM. I have two servers without any external storage device. Each server has two hard disk. We planned to use one hard disk as another hard disk as shared disk for storing the ASM files. But we are getting error while creation of Sun clustered file.
Can any body explain is it necessary of having external storage device for RAC setup?
If external storage device is not necessary than any body have steps or doc to configure Sun clustering with shared file system.

We have shared one file system in both of the system. With reboot it's created d1,d2,d3 and d4. We are getting below error in last step of sun clustering:
