Retirement without gain & Loss

Hi,

   I have done retirement of the Asset with Original Cost and the JE lines generated are

Accumulated Depreciation A/c  Dr

Cost A/c                                        Cr

When i run Journal entry reserve ledger report i am able to see everything as Zero including YTD Depreciation.

  and when i am trying to retest with another asset with same steps i am getting Gain & Loss, how can i retire an asset without gain & loss and what step i am skipping for the new one which is generating gain & loss.
