Patching through Deployment Procedures

This might be a stupid question... but, Grid Control uses PERL for patching, so i'll ask. 

If i wanted to apply a patch to the OMS or Database ORACLE HOME for Grid, i can't do it through the Deployment Procedures, can i?  I have to do patches to Grid manually, right?
