How to configure the Broker in a MAA Solution

 Hi,

We have a MAA solution that uses a 3 nodes Primary RAC cluster and a 3 node Standby RAC cluster. When we set this up initially, the standby cluster only brought 1 instance up as the log apply instance.

However, when we configure the DG Broker, this brings online all of the standby instances and then the broker throws the following errors on the Standby database.....

nnnn3      ERROR ORA-16532: Data Guard broker configuration does not exist
nnnn2      ERROR ORA-16532: Data Guard broker configuration does not exist

Should we have more than one standby instance up??

Why does the DG broker try and start ALL standby instances??

Howdy, Stranger!
