Revised Software Patch Release Process
On September 14, 2009, Oracle Communications announced the general availability of Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) release 7.4. Oracle Communications is pleased to announce a revised BRM patch release process, applicable to BRM 7.4 and any BRM release thereafter. The patch release process for all releases prior to BRM 7.4 will remain unchanged.
What are the changes?
Fixes for BRM 7.4 and subsequent releases will be delivered as patch sets, each containing multiple fixes. Patch sets will be released at regularly scheduled intervals. The patch set release schedule will be published and updated regularly on the Oracle Customer Support Site to help customers plan their own patching approach and schedule. The patch sets will include fixes for customer-reported issues as well as Oracle-initiated product fixes.
