Best practice Upgrade 11.5.9 to R12 (HP-UX Unix to Linux)

 What is the best approach to move a single tier Oracle EBS Suite version 11.5.9 which is not update tod at on patches (modules include of GL, AP, AR, iExpense) on HP-UX Unix on a 9.2 database (everything currently on a single tier) TO Release 12.(?) single tier running on Linux (same modules) and 10G or 11G database.
We are also open to a reimplementation with data conversion if a upgrade and move to a different operating system proves to arduous.

What do you recommend I start reading? Thanks in advance.
