How to Change Primary UOM of an Item..? whats the Best Practice for this.

Hi,

Can we change the Primary UOM for an Item.? We are Using 12.0.6.

I have Stock for the Item and pending Transactions, open PO.

My Understanding...  Stock can be moved to a Dummy Item, UOM Revised, Stock transfer back to the revised item, and the old pending Transaction can be carried-out as per the UOM in the existing documents. The revised UOM will affect new document Created or Revised, revision date onwards.

Pls guide...
