Transferring employees from the weekly to monthly payroll

 We are planning to move a large group of staff from the weekly to monthly payroll. Our process for doing this involves terminating the current employee record (with an end reason of transferred leaver) and setting up a new person record. This is to ensure that the employee does not have any length of time unpaid, to be picked up by payroll.

However, my concern is that details already held on the current record will be 'lost' for the purposes of manager self service (eg viewing work and learning history) and reporting on training and qualifications.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can link the new person record to the old record, or other way that we can ensure Managers will still be able to see the details held on the terminated record?
