Idle connection timeout

  Hi,

We have a 10.2.0.4 database server and a 10.2.0.4 oracle client with a firewall between the 2
When we connect to the database, it connects fine
From the other session, when we query v$session, we can see the app session connection details
But then after about may be a minute or so (may be less) of the app session connection being idle,( i.e, we dont run any select statements or anything from that session. we just connect to it and leave it) when we query the v$session again (from other session) when we re-issue the query from other session against v$session we don't see the app session any more. its gone
