R12 SLA - how to modify GL Date for journal entries transferred to GL from FA module using SLA ?

According to the client needs the GL Date for journal entries transferred from FA to GL should be always the current date (sysdate). It is no problem when the transaction date is the same as current date, but in case of backdated transactions there is a problem. Is it possible to set up SLA to set the GL date = current date (independently of transaction date)? Of course if the current date (sysdate) is in period that was not opened yet, the GL Date should be the last date of the current open in FA period.
