parameter compatible 10.2.0.3.0 or 10.2.0.4.0
which difference makes setting the compatible parameter to the following values : 10.2.0.3.0 or 10.2.0.4.0 ?
I found some hint´s that only the 1st three digit´s are relevant (e.g. 10.1.0 or 10.2.0). In the opposite i found some hints that the followed digits are even so relevant (e.g. 10.2.0.3.0 or 10.2.0.4.0).
- Did parameter 10.2.0.3.0 in Oracle version 10.2.0.4 cause, that 10.2.0.4 features can not be used or does oracle mind only at 10.2.0 ?
- Did parameter 10.2.0.3.0 in Oracle version 10.2.0.4 cause, that 10.2.0.4 bugs or problems are not seen ?
Best regards
Sascha
