Oracle EBS 11i EDI 850/POI (Incoming)

 Hello,

We are implementing Oracle E-Business Suitess 11i eCommerce Gateway. Is it mandatory to specify the EDI Location Code on Customer Site Addresses so that the Trading Partner definition can associate the Translator Code to the EDI Location Code/Customer Site?

The EDI Gateway Implementation Guide suggest that the EDI Location Code is optional and if not specified the EDI import 850 POI program will search physical address fields for a match.

Has anyone avoided the defining of the individual bill-to/ship-to site EDI Location Codes and then association in the Trading Partner form?
