Trying to install a patch through EM 11g

 I have version 11.1.0.7. I want to install a patch through EM. I don't want to stage just to apply. Under my Oracle_home directory there is a folder EMStagePatches_dbname. However EM staging location is %oracle_home%/EMStagedPatches. I download a patch number to try to install. Either I put it in OH\ EMStagePatches_dbname\patchnumber or OH\ EMStagePatches\patchnumber EM under Apply patch link cannot find the patch. Any search I try does not return the patch. I have downloaded the patch manually. Is this the reason?
