Stand Alone AAIs

We have been applying stand alone landed costs in JDEdwards Oneworld. If we receive the stock and then add the stand alone landed cost I believe the landed cost AAIs are being used: 4385 Cost/Expense Adjustments and 4390 Cost/Liability Adjustments.

If however we consume the stock (issue to a works order) and then add a stand alone landed cost the the variance AAIs 4330 Received/Vouchers and 4332 Cost of Sales are used.

Is this a standard JDEdwards configuration? Why does this  happen and not always use the landed cost AAIs?
