new to RMAN backup

 Hi,

I am new to RMAN backup, i want to take my db backups on some regular intervels.

I have tried using Oracle Enterprise manager to take backup on regular intervels , which worked and created three  .BKP files ,and  .ARC files.

but really i don't know how i can evaluate this .BKP files to make sure that every data from  all tables have been backedup.

and I don't know , if i want to restore my database back , if any thing happens , what i should do?

and I don't know , if i want to create a test database in a local system with this .BKP files , what i should do?
