impdp syntax for tables=

  What is the correct syntax to import 2800 tables in a par file.  DMP files contain about 150,000 tables but I only want to overwrite about 2769 tables.  I have tried tables=('tablename1','tablename2') but I can not get it to work properly.  I keep getting ORA-39001: invalid argument value
ORA-39071: Value for TABLES is badly formed.

Oracle 10.2.0.3

IBM AIX 5.3

Anybody have any suggestions..??
