Amortization date in case of enabled and date given in Mass Addition table.

 Hi   I have a question here. If I Put Amortization check enabled and put Amortize Start date in Mass addition table the Start date does not remain same the amortize start date becomes System date. Is it an inteded functionality or the same amortization date given in the mass addition will be populated.Please advice us it is critical for us.
