Multiple databases on RAC cluster

Hello.,

I have 10g RAC with two nodes - one database – with two individual instances on each node.

We plan to add additional new database for another very active application to the same server – adding additional 500GB disk to the existing server.

What is your opinion on adding another database on RAC or would you recommend another schema within the existing one?

We plan to add the storage and not to create new disk group – keep minimum number of disk groups – as advised by Oracle.

What are the issues you think that may pop-up?

If you have any white paper or recommendations on using multiple databases on RAC.

Howdy, Stranger!
