Internet Explorer 8 Support

Hmm... Interesting. We (and our users) have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of support for Internet Explorer 8 in Siebel Industry Applications (SIA) 7.8 which the SOD stated would be available by the end of Q4. Up until the 18th of December, the SOD has been stating that this support would be provided as  a QF on 7.8.2.13 and maybe on 7.8.2.14. So, here we were with a test platform all ready to go with 7.8.2.13 installed so we could just throw on the relevant QF and hit the ground running, but the goal posts have been shifted as of yesterday.

Without a word of explanation, 7.8.2.13 is out of the equation and the SOD now states that the IE8 QF will be on top of 7.8.2.14 and maybe on 7.8.2.16.
