Best Practices for Tablespace Alerts with Auto Extend

What are Best Practices for Tablespace Alerts when the Tablespace  uses Auto Extend? Currently we get alerts that we neither need or want.

I would like to filter out Alerts that we don't want or need to get for Tablespaces  using Auto Extend that are not at there actual limits.  We want to only get real alters requiring action.  Should we just use the "Disable Thresholds" for Auto Extend Tablespace or is there a better way?

Does anyone know how to filter OEM Alerts to remove  notices not worth recieving such as those for Tablespaces being Auto Extended?
