Pro*C application coredumps on HP-UX after migrating the database from 8i to 10g

Hi ,
When executing a static select statement from Pro*C application fails and generates a core-dump. The database is migrated from 8i to 10g and the issue is raised intermittently.The same select statement works fine from sqlplus .

db version is 10.2.0.2.
