RMAN Backup hangs

 My RMAN backup is hanging since we did few changes (1. redo log resize from 100 MB to 300 MB.   (2). added new redo log group with 300 MB size)  in production.  We did not implement those changes in stand by database. Does this effect my RMAN backup?
