Asset Keys - Maximum #?

Hi-

We're considering using the Asset Key to track capital project #s (we don't have Oracle Projects).    Is there a maximum # of Asset Keys that we can have? 

Also, I was curious to know how other companies utilize the Asset Key, and if reporting is available by Asset Key.  I've been unable to locate the field in Discoverer, which is our planned primary reporting/ad hoc tool.
