Solaris - Install 11gR2

 11gR2 is only certified on a base install image of Solaris 10 update 6 or greater. We are currently running Solaris 10 Update 5 . Our Solaris Sys Admins are telling us since they cannot patch up to update 6 this would require rebuilding the servers. Is this true ?
