Failed to initialize job process

 We are using Oracle Enterprise Manager Console Version 9.2.0.1.0 and all of a sudden I have all my databases on a particular server getting the following error during the oem/rman backup job run:

Failed to initialize job process

The databases are 9i

Any ideas?
