Bonus Depreciation not running after setting up

 I set up bonus depreciation for an Asset Categories but when i run depreciation the bonus rule is not taking effect. However, when i set up bonus depreciation for a particular asset and i run depreciation, the bonus rule takes effect and i am able to see the bonus amount.

Nav for setting up bonus Depreciation on Category:

Nav:Set up> Asset Categories > Click Default Rules> Select predefined Bonus rule and SAVE.

I need to know what i am missing
