How can I speed up 50TB database backup ?

 Hi,

I have a database that is currently 5TB which takes about 30 hours to backup to tape (Full backup), daily incremental backups take 2 hours.  The backups are done to disk using RMAN catalog.

Once in production, this database is expected to grow to 50TB in 18 months before old data can be archived.  At this rate, the full backup could take upto 2 weeks !

I would appreciate any advice on how I can reduce the full backup time.
