Prevent future period PA asset lines from posting to FA in open period.

PA closed Dec-09 then generated new asset lines for Jan-10. FA had not yet closed Dec-09 so when they ran Mass Additions Post it picked up the Jan-10 transactions from PA and posted them in FA in Dec-09.  We can manually prevent this by suspending scheduled jobs, but I'm looking for a way to systematically prevent these "future period" transactions from being posted.
